Ever thought about what makes you the real “you”? Everyone is made up of flesh, bones and blood but everyone is so different at the same time. Us humans are weird beings, we are extremely powerful compared to any other animal in this planet and have done so many amazing things, yet we are surrounded by millions of unanswered questions about our origin, purpose and history. No matter how much progress we are making, we still have not found our original identity.
We all seem to be lost in our own world. Rich, Poor, Black, White, Asian, American are just labels and at the end of the day everyone has their own problems, own thoughts and own lives. Thinking about how almost eight billion people in this world have their own lives and problems might make you feel really insignificant.
I think that humans are a weird mixture of mind, body and soul. The mind is the part that holds all your thoughts, makes all your decisions and processes all your senses. The body is your physical form that lets you function and interact with the material world. And the soul (or whatever you call it) is an unknown thing that gives you the sense of instinct and guides you through different parts of life without you even knowing. Even though we are all made up of these things, sometimes it feels like they conflict with each other within us. Ever felt like doing something but your brain tells you not to? Ever felt so motivated to do something but your body gives up? Or ever felt like you should do something but some weird feeling makes you not do it?
All of those things have probably happened to every one of us at one point or another. Keeping your mind, body and soul in balance is probably the best thing you can do to improve yourself, and it is also one of the hardest things to do. When all three things tell you different things, what do you give priority to? Should you listen to your instinct? Or should you listen to the logical thoughts that come from your brain? Or maybe you should listen to the body since it can get physically affected by your actions. Nobody knows the right answer to these questions, but being mindful of these things might help you make a better judgement next time you get in a situation like that. None of these three parts of you are right or wrong, it all depends on the situation and other conditions.
Every decision you make when you get internal conflicts like these is what guides you in a certain path, good or bad. Next time you get in a situation like this, be aware of which part of you the decision you want to make is coming from, and then decide if that part should get a priority over others in that situation. Only you will know how to judge things to get an answer at that point. Also, balance everything. Go work out, start meditating, start giving back, start balancing your life. A strong body is useless in most cases without a stable mind, and a stable mind is usually useless without a sense of well being you get from your soul or whatever you call it. Be aware of things, and always push yourself to be a better version of yourself and make sure you are moving ahead in the right direction. The world waits for nobody, you do not want to pick the wrong path and end up in a different place than where you want to be in life.
